The Mercer County Dog Pound is located at 7009 St. Rte. 49, Celina, on the Ohio Indiana Line. There are no set viewing hours so you will need to make an appointment with Tom. Please be persistent in calling and DO leave a message!

Any dog with a star on its picture is next in line to be killed or has been at the pound the longest and needs rescued ASAP. Dogs are not euthanized on a scheduled day of the week, so don't wait to call, as we don't always have warning on when they are going to be euthanized.

For safety and in the interest of health, we recommend anyone adopting a pet from the pound have the animal seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible.
The Auglaize County Dog House is located at 209 S. Blackhoof Rd. Wapakoneta, OH 45895. There are no set viewing hours so you will need to make an appointment with Russ Bailey, the new county dog warden.

Russ Bailey, the new dog warden, started the end of June 2008, he has since brought in hundreds of dogs. He is desperately asking for help in saving the dogs, as there is only 14 pens and can fill up very quickly. There is a $35.00 pull fee to adopt a dog from this pound. Please Help!
