We are in desperate need of sponsorships for our dogs and the dogs at the Mercer County and Auglaize County Pounds. You can sponsor a dog that has touched your heart and that may help the pet to get rescued or adopted. Sponsors can mail in a check made out to APLMC to P.O. Box 663 Celina, OH 45822. Please put attention Katie on the envelope and state what dog you would like to sponsor or if you would like to just put the sponsor money on the next dog due to be brought to be euthanized. You might just save their life! We are a non-profit rescue and 100% of the sponsor money goes to the rescue of animals in our community. We are also in desperate need of sponsor money for gas to transport the dogs from the pound to no-kill rescues. Please call 419-586-2887 or email us at pound@aplmercer.com for more information on how to sponsor or help in the rescue of the helpless animals at our pound. If you would like to make a credit card donation on the vet bill for all our rescue dogs, we now have PayPal on our home page. All dogs that we rescue have high vet bills and boarding costs to ensure that they are healthy and ready for adoption, so every donation or sponsorship enables us to save the next helpless dog in need. Since 2007 our adoption fees have not covered our vet fees, we only exist due to donations.
We also are in need of crates, leashes, and collars.

Our dogs love to sleep on Kuranda Dog beds, but we don't have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price for a another dog to sleep in comfort, please click here.

The pound dogs need beds to keep them off the cold cement, please help. Click on the dog bed to donate a durable bed for the pound dogs. They deserve a dry place to sleep and keep warm.

Kuranda Beds for Mercer County Pound
Lacey was a very pregnant mom that came into the Mercer County Dog Pound as a stray. She was very close to delivering, so we pulled her and put her into foster care. On March 4th, Lacy gave birth to 12 puppies! We need sponsors for Lacey and this litter! You can stop by the Celina Animal Hospital and put a donation on Lacey's bill. You can mail in a donation to our address, please mark it is for Lacey. You can also donate Iams Puppy food(yellow bag dry), clean blankets or towels for her by dropping it off at the Celina Pet Center and telling them it is for the APL. We stop in to check for donated items. If you are interested in adopting a puppy from Lacey's litter or in Lacey, please call or email and we will keep you updated with pictures of your puppy. Pictures and updates will be posted on this site as the puppies grow. Lacey will be available for adoption once she is spayed after weaning the puppies.
