I'm sending in a picture of my beloved Jaqusyn. He passed away on March 16,2007. He was 13 1/2 years old. We rescued him form the Allen County Humane Society 2 days before he was to be euthanized. He was only 7 weeks old. He was the most wonderful dog and we miss him dearly. HE was my baby.

Attacked and Killed
at the Mercer County Pound
on August 22, 2006
Dougie died at 8:15 pm on Monday August 28, 2006. He was a pure bred yellow Labrador stray brought into the dog pound that was attacked by other dogs at the pound. He did NOT receive medical treatment and as a result he laid in filth for days allowing internal parasites and diseases to enter his wounds. He was treated extensively for a week at Celina Animal Hospital before he grew so ill and weak he was not able to stand. After a discussion with his vet we decided to put him to sleep. At that point his vet felt he would not survive the night and it would be far more humane to die in the arms of someone who loved him than to suffer all night. Dougie had the absolute sweetest temperament, he was a love to be around. He loved to be outside rolling in the grass and being held. Dougie was a snuggle-bunny, he would rest his head on your shoulder and sigh in contentment. Dougie will be missed, if we could all be so lucky to know a dog like Dougie.
Our sincere thanks to Celina Animal Hospital vets and staff for their excellent care and tremendous efforts at saving Dougie's life. As a group we are glad Dougie was treated by those who cared so much for him.

Please visit the Mercer County Pound page for pictures of the wounds that
killed Dougie and to see what you can do to help.

In Loving Memory of Dougie
To all the families who have suffered the loss of a beloved pet, so many dogs have lost families or owners and are in desperate need of homes. When you have grieved and are ready to welcome in another family member, please go to the pound or a rescue and look into the eyes of a lost, homeless dog or cat. They would be grateful to be loved and in return will give you so much more back. So many dogs and cats die needlessly every day because they have no one who wants them. You can honor your beloved pet, by saving the life of one in need.
We are so sorry for the lost of your pet and would love to honor them by putting a picture on this page.

In Loving Memory of Clifford, a beautiful black Labrador Retriever that died December of 2006.
Clifford was a rescue here in Mercer County and was severely neglected by his owners. He was treated by our vet's, but could not pull through. We want to always remember Clifford and remember why we help so many dogs. He deserved better from his owners, but at least passed on while safe and treated with kindness. Thank you to all the people who donated to Clifford and to the Celina Animal Hospital for working so hard to try and save him.

This is Tonka. He passed away on September 11, 2007 due to a 2 year battle with epilepsy. Although he was only with us for a little while, he made a big impact on our lives. Tonka taught us and everyone around him how to love unconditionally, live without regrets, and how to be strong in the face of adversity. Tonka was everyones best friend, shoulder to cry on, and companion...he will be greatly missed and in our hearts forever. We love you Tonka...you are the best friend we will ever have. We'll see you when we get there bubbas....

This is my beloved Molly, who passed away July 29, 2009, from Cancer.
Molly was given to me 5 years ago for my birthday, and she was a rescue dog.
Molly quickly became my best friend and constant companion, and loved going for her rides and walks along Grand Lake. And although it has been 3 months since she has passed, it still brings tears to my eyes, to talk about her.
Molly taught me to love again, and I miss her terribly. But I know I will see her again, when I leave this earth

To my Izzy- I can not even tell you how much you meant to me and this family. In the short months that we had you, you gave more love and more hugs than a person could ask for. I was never lonely when you were here. Even though you were silently battling a terrible disease, you never showed it. Through surgery and treatment, you kept up your loving and kisses. Every person that you came in contact with was won over and instantly loved you. I can't thank you enough for coming into our lives and being there for me when I needed you the most. Please know that we did everything to save you and then some, but suffering you did not deserve. I couldn't watch you go through any more pain that couldn't save you. I am so glad that you spent your last night with us and that we were able to give you tons of love and say goodbye. Please know that we will never forget you and you will always have a huge place in our hearts. We are devastated and heartbroken over loosing you, but we would not change the time we had with you for anything. I know you are waiting in heaven for me and that my Gramps will take care of you until I am there with you.
We love you Izzy.
I also want to thank the Celina Animal Hospital for everything they did to save Izzy and for understanding that I needed to visit her and hold her several times a day. For washing her bed constantly and for going the extra mile to make sure Izzy was comfortable. You all went above and beyond to save her, thank you.
